The problem
Paper charts get lost, fridge whiteboards get erased, and generic apps come with ads, subscriptions, and features no one asked for. Chores slip, kids say nobody told them, and parents end up as the reminder system. A chart that lives on a shared link and matches how your house actually runs, with your chores, your kids, and your rules, is easier to keep using.
What we’d build
- A weekly chart showing each person's chores, with tap-to-complete checkboxes that save for everyone.
- A kid-friendly view: pick your name, see your chores for today, mark them done.
- A parent screen to add, edit, and assign chores, including rotating or repeating ones.
- An optional points or stars tally, if you want rewards or allowance tracking.
- One integration: a weekly email summary to parents, or a Google Sheet that logs completed chores.
A concrete example
A family with three kids wants a Saturday-reset chart. We build four screens: a week grid, a "pick your name" kid view, a parent screen to manage chores, and a points tally. Chores can repeat daily, weekly, or rotate between kids. Completed chores save so everyone sees the same thing. On Sunday evening, the parents get one email listing who finished what and each kid's points. After delivery, you get two rounds of tweaks, such as renaming sections or changing how rotation works.

Frequently asked
Can each kid have their own login and password?
Not at this size. The chart works from a shared family link where kids pick their name, so anyone with the link can edit it. Separate logins and roles are a bigger build, which is our Mini-app tier.
Will this be an app in the App Store?
No. We don't build native mobile apps. This is a web page that works in any phone or tablet browser, and you can add it to your home screen for one-tap access.
What about hosting and refunds?
Hosting is included for 12 months, then $9.00 per month, or you can self-host with the source code we hand over. If we decline your project before work starts, you get a full refund. After delivery, there are no refunds.
