A simple stock tracker with low-stock alerts
We build a small web tool where you add items, adjust counts, and see what is running low. It is made for one owner, and your staff can use it without creating accounts.
The problem
Many small businesses track stock in a notebook, a shared spreadsheet, or someone's memory. Counts drift, and you find out an item is gone when a customer asks for it. You want one place to update counts quickly and a clear signal when something needs reordering, without setting up accounts for every person who touches the shelves.
What we’d build
- An item list showing each item's name, current count, and low-stock threshold, with low items clearly marked.
- An add and edit item screen for names, starting counts, and the level at which an item counts as low.
- A quick count adjustment flow with plus and minus buttons or a typed number, so staff can update stock in a few taps on a phone.
- A low-stock view that lists everything at or below its threshold, so you can build a reorder list at a glance.
- One integration: an email to you when an item crosses its threshold. If you would rather have a Google Sheets sync or a webhook, we can use that instead, but we build one integration only.
- Saved data, a hosted link, and full source code. The build is up to 5 screens and includes two rounds of tweaks.
A concrete example
A small candle maker keeps about 60 supplies: wax, jars, wicks, fragrance oils, and shipping boxes. We build five screens: the item list, add or edit item, adjust count, a low-stock list, and a settings page for the alert email address. Each item has a count and a threshold. When someone in the studio lowers the wax count to or below its threshold, the owner gets an email naming the item and its current count. Studio staff open the same link on their phones, with no accounts to set up. After delivery, the owner has two rounds of tweaks, for example to rename fields or adjust how the low-stock list is sorted.

Frequently asked
How can staff use it without logins?
The tool has no accounts, so anyone with the link can view and change counts. You should share the link only with people you trust, and we recommend not storing anything sensitive in it. It also will not record which person made which change.
What if I later want staff accounts or roles?
Accounts and roles belong to our Mini-app tier, which is priced and scoped separately. The Tool tier stays at one owner with no staff logins.
How do the low-stock alerts reach me?
We use our one included integration to email you when an item reaches its threshold. You can pick Google Sheets or a webhook instead of email, but not several at once.
What happens to hosting and the code?
Hosting is included for 12 months, then it is $9.00 per month, or you can self-host. You also get the full source code, so you are not locked in.
What is your refund policy?
If we decline your project before work starts, you get a full refund. Once we deliver, there is no refund, though you still have two rounds of tweaks to get the tool working the way you need.
