A public search page for your Google Sheet
We build a public search page that reads from your Google Sheet. Visitors can filter by column and click any row to see a detail view. You keep editing the Sheet like you do now, and the page shows the updated data.
The problem
Many teams keep a directory, inventory, or listing in a spreadsheet because it is easy to update. Sharing it is the hard part. Sending the Sheet link exposes every column and tab, and it is awkward to browse on a phone. Embedding it gives you little more than a grid. People who just want to find one row end up scrolling or asking you directly.
What we’d build
- A public search page with a text box and column filters, such as category, location, or status, chosen with you from your Sheet's columns.
- A detail view for each row, with its own link so people can share a specific entry.
- One Google Sheets integration: the page reads your Sheet, and you choose which columns are public and which stay hidden.
- Up to 5 screens total, with layouts that work on phones and desktops.
- Hosted link and full source code, plus two rounds of tweaks.
A concrete example
A community tool library keeps its inventory in a Sheet with columns for item name, category, condition, location, and availability. We build a search page where visitors type a name, filter by category and availability, and open a detail page for each tool with its description and pickup location. Internal columns like donor contact and notes stay hidden. Staff keep updating the Sheet, and the page shows the changes. That fits in about three screens: search results, tool detail, and a short about page.
Pricing, Tool
This use case fits the Tool tier.
- Multi-step tool with saved data (quote builder, intake flow, tracker, simple dashboard)
- Up to 5 screens
- One integration (email, Google Sheets, Stripe, or a webhook)
- Hosted link + full source code
- Two rounds of tweaks

Frequently asked
Can people edit the Sheet through the page?
No. The page is read-only for the public. You keep editing in Google Sheets as usual. Letting visitors submit or change data would need logins and roles, which is outside this tier. It would belong in our Mini-app tier.
What happens if I change the Sheet's columns later?
Edits to values show up on the page. Adding, renaming, or removing columns can change what the filters and detail view show, so those changes may need an update from us. Tweaks during the two included rounds cover this. After that, we can scope it separately.
What does hosting cost, and can I get a refund?
Hosting is included for 12 months, then $9.00 per month, or you can self-host using the source code we deliver. If we decline your project before work starts, you get a full refund. After delivery, there are no refunds.
