A checklist app with logins and a daily email summary
We build a small web app where your staff log in, work through reusable checklists, and every item records who completed it. Each day the owner gets an email summarizing what got done and what didn't.
The problem
Paper checklists and group texts make it hard to know whether opening, closing, or cleaning tasks were actually done, and by whom. The owner ends up asking around or checking in person. A shared spreadsheet helps a little, but anyone can edit it, and nobody has time to read through it every evening.
What we’d build
- Login for your team with two roles: owners create and edit checklists and see everything, staff complete the checklists assigned to them.
- Reusable checklist templates. You write a checklist once, and staff start a fresh run of it each day or shift.
- A completion log. Every item records who checked it and when, with an optional note for problems.
- An owner dashboard showing today's runs and past days, with filters by person or checklist.
- A daily summary email to the owner at a time you choose, listing finished runs, missed items, and notes. This is one of the two integrations included in this tier.
- Up to 10 screens in total, hosted on your domain or ours, with full source code delivered.
A concrete example
A cafe owner has six staff who share opening and closing routines. We build three templates: Opening, Midday Restock, and Closing. Staff sign in on their phones' browsers, start the right checklist, and tap items off. Each tap records the person and the time. If someone skips the walk-in cooler temperature check, the item stays open and shows up as missed. At 9 p.m. the owner receives one email listing each checklist, who finished it, which items were missed, and any notes staff left. The owner can open the dashboard to look at earlier days. This fits within eight screens and one email integration, which leaves room for a second integration, such as a Google Sheets export, if you want one.

Frequently asked
Can staff use this on their phones?
Yes, it is a web app that works in a phone browser. We do not build native mobile apps, so there is nothing to download from an app store.
What happens if we want changes after we see the first version?
The Mini-app tier includes three rounds of tweaks and 30 days of bug fixes after delivery. Larger additions beyond that would be a new project, since we do not do ongoing custom development.
How long does hosting last and what does it cost?
Hosting is included for 12 months. After that it is $9.00 per month, or you can self-host using the source code we deliver.
What if we change our minds after we pay?
If we decline your project before work starts, you get a full refund. Once we have delivered the app, we do not offer refunds.
Can we store sensitive information in the notes?
Please do not. We do not build apps that store regulated data such as health information or card numbers, and the notes field is meant for ordinary work remarks.
